Oops.  I forgot to mention them.  Can't run a system with no memory, can you?

Note the original system had no disks.  Guy in charge distrusted "rotating 
memory"--he had experience with drums in the early 50s.  I wrote a report 
around 1965 that led to the addition of disks.

This was not a coincidence.

There were also all-Model 50 systems at the smaller installations.
