	When I was working for the same outfit about a quarter century ago,
I used the paper tape on an ASR33 as a text editor to maintain a list of
interesting things that got sent out via the classified equivalent of
teletype -- the process went:

	1)  Key in the original, with addresses, headings, and list, and
cut a paper tape.
	2)  Duplicate the tape.  Take the original and a printout and
stuff it into the mailbox of the comm shack.
	3)  When changes were due, put the duplicate in the tape reader,
and turn on the tape punch.
	4)  Carefully step through the duplicate tape up to the point
where changes had to be made.  Turn off the tape reader.  Key in changes.
Step past the point on the original to stuff that didn't need to be
changed . . .
	5)  Iterate, iterate, iterate -- goto 2.

	After that, even the most primitive computer text editing
programs don't seem so bad . . .
