I'll go you one better---for a junior-level digital design lab, I *built* a Cardiac CPU using bit-slice components. We hardwired the little bootstrap program into the reset logic and hooked up a hex keypad to download your program. Beat the pants off the cardboard implementation in benchmarks, but it was a lot harder to debug :-) Thinking about it, I've probably lost both the original and the design charts for the project :-( That was the last time I touched a wire-wrap tool, also.
