I remember my first experience writing a program on a UNIX system at
school. I didn't know that I had to set some permissions so that others
couldn't copy or read my files!

When I got my program back, it had some small fraction of a grade since
several other people handed in the same program. Luckily I was able to
prove that I wrote the program and conviced the TA that I was just a
stupid EE who didn't know UNIX (this was a CS class).
