Concurrent Euclid has such wonderful compilers:

% cec convert_lines.e			[convert_lines.e is a SOURCE file]
ld:convert_lines.e: bad magic number	[compiler thinks it is an object file]
% cp convert_lines.e convert.e
% cec convert.e
[no errors, program runs fine]
